Interior Design from Concept to Completion

Full service interior design projects utilize a designer from concept to completion. Interior designers apply an organized process to lessen the overwhelming decision making and challenges that arise from remodeling or constructing new spaces.

A professionally trained designer utilizes a process consisting of four phases; Schematic or Conceptual Design phase, Design Development, Construction Documentation and Construction Administration. These are the typical phases and process a designer will use in projects both large and small.

The Phases of your Interior Design

  • The Schematic Phase consists of general space planning, conceptualizing and preliminary budgeting.
  • The Design Development Phase consists of developing the design concept, selection of materials and specifications, refinement of space plans and details & bidding in most cases.
  • The Construction Document Phase of the project requires the designer to document in the form of drawings, notations & details for all contractor and sub contractor trades to understand the design intent and fabrication. Final pricing and construction should be achieved from these forms of documents. The designer will typically stay a part of the construction team while the building and fabrication is underway. Coordination with the contractor and trades is crucial in the design process to assure conformance to the approved design and resolve any construction issues on site that may arise.

Client Testimonials

I was so pleased to not have to drive down to Scottsdale in order to find the quality of products I’d become accustomed to.
Nancy, Hassayampa Village
We walked into the showroom and said “Wow!”. At that point we realized we could find everthing that we needed without having to drive all over town.
Rick, Talking Rock Ranch
The real interest that Shaynee and Grant took in our project was something none of the other contractors ever offered to provide. Now it shows in the amazing final results of our home remodel.
